In fact i'm utterly disgusted that the new re-brand is so good. How dare the BBC spend the license payers money, MY money, on making the BBC actually look good! How dare they! I'm going to write a very long letter berating the greatness, put it in an envelope, and put it straight in the bin.
I wasn't even talking about the rebrand, I was talking about the fact as to why the BBC think dropping the BBC News 24 brand is a good idea, gees you can't even ask a question in this place, without getting into a public thrashing match
I don't see a question mark. So you didn't ask a question.
well it was meant as a question, but the way I wrote it didn't require a ?
All questions require a question mark, otherwise it would be a nonsensical statement.
Even though the countdown is changing, it doesn't look like it is that much, so only nostalgic for the music then.
You could argue that the new countdown music launching tomorrow is nostalgic as whilst its very 'new' elements from past Lowe eras return from 1999 and 2003.
I wouldn't be so sure. The new countdown music is essentially an updated version of what we already have. The general trend at BBC News 24/BBC News has been to refresh the music every year around mid-spring, 2005, 2006, 2007 and now tomorrow have all seen tweaks to the top of the hour sequence. The data-stream swooshes are a lot more apparent in this new version however.
Interesting that there are two versions of titles for the Nations and National 1, 6 10 etc. I've only seen one set of visuals posted around the internet, the others have escaped public consumption so far! The versions I have seen/heard may be initial ideas from Lambie-Nairn/David Lowe but keep your eyes and ears peeled for a lot of visuals/audio creations tomorrow that haven't been leaked onto the internet yet (especially Newyddion) :p

I'm sorry, but does a rebrand of BBC News really require 4 seperate sticky topics?? Over the top or what!
Yes, yes it actually does. There's probably a good chance that at least once over the the course of tomorrow that this place will implode.
It would be good if we all got captures of all network, national and regional new title sequences on here tomorrow as well.
If not I hope the TV Newsroom site will have them...will be interesting to compare what they are like across the UK and what they are like compared the clips already posted on here!
