There was one yesterday as well.

Even though the countdown is changing, it doesn't look like it is that much, so only nostalgic for the music then.

You could argue that the new countdown music launching tomorrow is nostalgic as whilst its very 'new' elements from past Lowe eras return from 1999 and 2003.

Why has there been no on-air mention on News 24 about the change tomorrow, I just don't understand. I would think they'd be hyping it up, especially as it seems to be a quiet News day as it were.

Why would you want to? Most of the public don't really care about a new look - it's the quality of the news they worry about

Exactly, so why waste £550,000 of licence payers money when you guys spent over ten years building the BBC News 24 brand only now to get rid of a well established name, and was already doing well against the likes of Sky News etc.

Tell me, are you ever happy? Every post I find of yours is a moan. Every single time.

Plenty of members like to complain on the forum for no reason. As if the BBC cares about what we think.

In fact i'm utterly disgusted that the new re-brand is so good. How dare the BBC spend the license payers money, MY money, on making the BBC actually look good! How dare they! I'm going to write a very long letter berating the greatness, put it in an envelope, and put it straight in the bin.

Good to hear Helen Boden confirming that the BBC News 24 countdown would live on. I imagine they will keep the same images and just update music and add new logo.

As I said previously and as has been mentioned by some other people - it is a bad move getting rid of the 24. Everybody knows what BBC News 24 is and I am sure most, like I, will continue to refer to it as that. BBC News or BBC News channel does not have the same impact.

It would be good if Sky rebranded to Sky News 24... that would be a smart move.

Is there any need to make it personal? I was just asking a question!

I wasn't even talking about the overall rebrand, I was talking about the fact as to why the BBC think dropping the BBC News 24 brand is a good idea, gees you can't even ask a question in this place, without getting into a public thrashing match Crying or Very sad

I don't see a question mark. So you didn't ask a question.

I'm sorry, but does a rebrand of BBC News really require 4 seperate sticky topics?? Over the top or what!

All questions require a question mark, otherwise it would be a nonsensical statement.

Yes, yes it actually does. There's probably a good chance that at least once over the the course of tomorrow that this place will implode.
