Quite good quality - 160kbps. Better than usual - they are normally 64. What do you think these are?

This might be a headline bed.

This is a countdown.

This one sounds like a countdown.

I love those countdowns.

I wonder are we returning to a 90-second countdown? Very Happy

I noticed two countdowns, one 90secs, presumably the one for BBC News channel, and a 1min one, which would fit BBC World News.

I wonder if the breakfiller on BBC World is to get new music>?

The first countdown is much better, I guess it will be used for News 24.

On the one we think is the BBC News Channel countdown, you can hear some 1999 countdown at the beginning. The end (10 sec countdown) is quite different. On the whole, they sound excellent! Especially 535.

The music has changed quite a bit over the past few weeks - Infact the titles delivered on digibeta have had to be re-dubbed due to a change in the music for several regions

Just look at the English Regions sequence and you'll notice it's tune has changed from the BBC London version that's been published.

It is interesting to see Reporting Scotland and Wales today have inherited their old theme from the 1999 titles, where as Newsline appear to have inherited a version of the national titles.

I love it all!

But, I do think number 536 (named as BBC Newsline) should be the new Nationals/News Channel/World music, its the best of a great bunch!

Could you expand on what has changed, and possibly why?

I wonder why they chose to go back to a 90 second countdown, presumably for the BBC News channel? I thought they considered long countdowns a waste of air-time?
