He uploaded the BBC News Titles 2007 and BBC World Countdown 2007 before they were broadcast.

By the looks of the number of new pictures on his website, it seems as though there will be a lot of new clips on the website.

Perhaps new music for the countdown??

I wouldn't get too excited....

Purely by chance when i was looking for some home shot stuff on some old videos i found an old recording of the news from a few years back. Now can somebody tell me if this ever looked good? The branding is so bland, and the TV studios on both National and Spotlight just look so boring and plain don't they? Was minimalist the order of the day back then? Bet it still cost a packet though.

I hope that the news channel becomes more like BBC World, i.e. that every programme has opening titles, closing titles and is seperated by promos and channel idents. something to distinguish one programme from another, rather then News 24 currently which seems messy.

They look very good though IMO.

That is what is intriguing us all Phen, they don't now, but by the looks of things, they may from Monday.

Edit: Phen, your post is below mine, but I did answer it! Laughing

does that mean the news channel will have an ident and titles, and does that mean new music for them?

But News 24 doesn't use an ident... Confused Sorry I'm confused!

Ah I see...sorry. The thought of News 24 having an ident never entered my head! Let the discussion continue! Laughing

That would be nice for the TV anorak but for the viewer who will switch on for ten minutes looking to hear all the headlines quickly before they head out the door, its not good. Therefore I don't see that happening.

It would probably help them in terms of the flow of the channel, especially since BBC One bulletins have to be simulcast now. Instead of the presenter having to faff around with announcing they're joining BBC One, they could show an ident and an announcer could do it properly. I think it would look more professional.

are they not meant to make you sit up properly rather than slouch under the camera angle?

I thik that's a part of it yes. I thinkn those ones in the EMT studio are commercially available, seating that's made specifically for TV is usually uncomfortable because it's been made on the cheap!

Are the desk chairs on News 24 commercial available, does anyone know? They look amazing.

I don't know why everyone appears to dislike that set. I quite liked it!

Apart from the screens, so did I. The background was a big improvement on the last one and still remains to be my favourite today.

Hopefully that'll change on Monday, right enough.
