Already see the BBC Globe in the top left, can't wait!

Ooooh, it would be nice if we saw something with the new globe in all of the regions.

Soo, can we have someone confirm at what time the new look will come in? Midnight? Breakfast? ...please?

Just get to bed in Sunday afternoon then get up before midnight. Then you will be wide awake for the revolution.

(Yes more of a revolution than an evolution).

Midnight? Really! Seems a little bit odd....

I only said that just in case.

It's not midnight. The relaunch is expected to happen sometime after midnight. We don't know exactly when. It'll be more like 5am with The World Today.

N9 is supposedly being kept as an emergency backup.

Anyone know why was N9 was chosen to be mothballed as a spare and N8 (the current News 24 'studio') was chosen as the new home of World?
(I'm sure this has been ansered at som point in the last 200+ pages!)

N9 is a lot older than N8 - also it's not in the news centre and everyone is moving to be closer to everyone else in the multi media newsroom

Basically because N8 is in the "News Centre", N9 is not.

A rough idea on the studio view, anyway...

The changes will probably be seen at 5am BST on The World Today, which is simulcast on BBC World and BBC News channel.

So get an early night people, and be up just before 5am...

Might have a BBC News party and stay up all night drinking instead.

Well that is the weirdest combination of the normal and geeky.

All Night Party + BBC News Re-Brand = Shocked

They still have to have the electrical equipment PAT tested every 12-18 months though - by law.

PAT testing is not a legal requirement.

Under H&S and Electrical safety laws employers are required to ensure equipment and installations are safe to use. Regular PAT testing is one way of doing this. The duration of time between tests is not defined, and should be assesed for each piece of equipment. At my work, some equipment is on 6 month cycles, some on 24 and lots in the middle.

I don't remember N6 being that close to the news centre either, the gallery was though.

How much work has it taken to soup up N6's gallery to be able to be on air 24/7? I remember it being a lot smaller than N8's... and that it backs onto a corridor
