Channel DOG read just "BBC News" for a few minutes there, although it's now reverted to "BBC News 24".

Weird, you could see a tiny bit of the ticker too.

Odd behaviour from the DOG/Clock earlier. I assumed they'd changed to just 'BBC News', but sans clock, then suddenly the clock and 'News 24' DOG swept in. I'm sure this isn't usual for BBC America World News.

I don't think its the ticker lol just part of the BBC News dog. Its the dog BBC News use on videos on its youtube 'bbcworldnews' and I've seen it on screen a few times and I think its sometimes been on for Breakfast.

Ooooh, it does look nice on screen (Newswatch), and without the box, and the central globe with BBC News in it, will that be used overnights for simulcasts?

If anyone here just happens to be on the BBC Newsline e-panel, you'll find something interesting in your inbox if you want to see and hear what the nations will look and sound like (apart from one Nation that is).

Christa said on Look North Leeds last night that there would be a complete refit of the studio.

That 'BBC News' DOG is always there, it's burnt into the programme (WNA). It's only when News 24 drop their ticker that its ever noticed.

Is there a particular reason they burn it into the programme?

Presumably because it goes to BBC America and PBS stations who carry the programme too

Will the 61124 text number change?
