The East edition of Look East from Norwich was presented in the usual way standing in front of the view of the Forum with graphics over layed so you wouldn't really notice anything going on.

Surely of ALL the Regions; Look East needs a new look - they still have the 1999 look and it is sooooo tiredly dated now. Especially the Cambridge opt-out - come on!

She also defended the price tag, saying it was cheap for 24/7 output, which I agree with.

If there were different versions yes it would be cheap - but as it appears unless I'm mistaken that News 24, BBC World and BBC1 will have exactly the same titles, is it really value for money?

I'm all for building a strong brand, but that doesn't mean everything has to be exactly the same.

£500,000 is not a lot in the grand scheme of things, for work shown 24 hours a day world wide for a good few years.

its the cost of 2 episodes of Eastenders
half the cost of Natasha Kaplinksy for a year
far less than BSkyB's £28m yearly marketing budget
Premier Travel Inn rebranded to Premier Inn at a £21m cost

Thats a point, how will these new and sub programmes make use of the new branding?

I really like Newswatch's current branding! The use of lots of different clips - I hope it's something similiar to this!

P.S. (and this doesn't fit anywhere) worth noting today ALL the topics on Page 1 of 'The Newsroom' have been updated today! Smile

Well, my first thought was that they'd squeeze some more mileage out of the English regions' branding...
RE
Reboot
Channel DOG read just "BBC News" for a few minutes there, although it's now reverted to "BBC News 24".
