Oh and will Breakfast get new titles to match the others...

I'm surprised nobody's asked that before now.

People have - lots of times, but generally with no reply.

I know, that's why it's becoming increasingly annoying each time.

I was rather offended when I asked twice - not once but twice -what the new names for Entertainment 24, Film 24 etc. would be with no reply whatsoever, yet somebody else mentions it in passing and a massive discussion starts. I'm thinking of taking my views elsewhere....*huff*

I know and people say this place aint cliquey! Oh and Jugalug stop being a twerp please. Your're spoiling my lurking.

I'm with others on breakfast changing. I'd like to see something similar to what Martin posted a few pages back. Something in the style of the new look for BBC News, but in orange, it does go well for Breakfast.

Am I right in saying that breakfast isn't changing studios, and is once staying in TC7?

Is there any reason why the background doesn't move on breakfast, and I'm not asking for the squares to be flying at the speed as they do on the titles, but something other than static.

I think the best setup would be something like Andrew Marr has, where by they may use a static background, but because it's a view, you wouldn't know, well except in different weather conditions of course.
And the fact that they add something to the studio, all be it a couple of fake posts and a bookshelf, but its something to make it seem less like 3 walls of TV screens.

The Andrew Marr show's background moves - you can see both tubes and London buses running. I think the same is true on the Politics Show.

I was going to say! His background is great, you can see trains and traffic and stuff! Very Happy

The only parts that I've ever watched of the AM Show have been online, and so haven't been able to see things moving. Is it a live view, or pre recorded?

And is the case that Breakfast don't use that view the same reason that GMTV seems to have, that they don't want to show a London background as they broadcast across the UK?

The view is pre-recorded. I think there is also only the one recorded sadly. Though I have wondered how much footage there is. Presumably in excess of an hour to avoid any nasting jumping.

Hey Mr Sarcy, I've asked before, but not gotten any decisive answer.

Breakfast will not change dramatically - apart from new lower third astons and locators.
The decision has also been made NOT to use the Breakfast backing during the weekend, which is a pity as the programme would benefit from consistent branding 7 days a week in my opinion.

News 24 were back in N9 tonight from 9.30 to 10. Not sure if it was the same on Tuesday but the did the headlines in N8 at about 9.26 then Tim said that Sophie would be back in a few minutes with the international headlines from our World newsroom, before going to a long weather forecast. This froze at the end before going to Sophie in N9 with the World summary (presumably went out on World too). They also seemed to dip the sound on her (when she may have ended the summary for World) before she carried on with one story. Then it was Entertainment 24 and business.

Was that a cough I heard at the end of the News 24 countdown just now!!!!

Can I ask why? Surely it doesn't take too much effort.

It's not really Breakfast at the weekend is it? It's actually a reasonable news programme instead! They should just say it's the news and ditch all Breakfast branding on Saturdays and Sundays.

It wasn't that we couldn't... more a decision made on high that we shouldn't.
I'm assuming that they didn't want 4 hours of the channel looking like Breakfast on a saturday morning and wanted to retain the BBC News Branding for this key part of the channels programming.
