I expect we'll just see the "24" disappear from the logo on the ticker (as seen on weekend Breakfast) and they'll probably start using the generic red & black titles. Not sure if they'd be bothered to cut the countdown before the logo appears.
And of course the presenters will no longer refer to the channel as "News 24" (or indeed "News 25"
).

EDIT: Does anybody know what is going to happen tomorrow? The blog posted a few pages back said the changes would begin on News 24 after the 10 O'Clock News on Wednesday 16th...interesting...

I am really sorry if this has already been posted here, but here is a link to the new titles on the BBC webiste: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/7349107.stm

An interesting result of N24 decamping to allow the Ten to rehearse is a recognisable
News Channel
presenter (and I assume producers) will be in a studio other than N6 at 10 o'clock, and thus if there is a major breaking news story a simulcast with World to solely cover the story is easily achievable.
I bet BBC chiefs are secretly hoping for a big story around 10 this week while they're practicing!

Hey, it looks like my prediction has come true. This is nothing new, it's certainly not markedly different from what's gone before. This really is just an expensive (and far more expensive than I anticipated) rehash of the same old thing. The titles look pretty, but the music is the same as before and is horrible. I don't dislike David Lowe's music generally - BBC World's US election music is fantastic - but the national and regional music has become extremely vapid.
It would be nice to see something entirely new, but if the BBC insist on re-working and developing the 1999 idea every twelve months, then I really wish they would have the drive and creativity to introduce new concepts of television news broadcasting and once again become pioneers of what the BBC does best; Inform and entertain in way that is bold, cutting-edge and sophisticated.

OK, bearing in mind I
haven't
seen the new countdown, here's my first impressions.
I like the new titles, very dramatic, and it doesn't make it look too... erm... white. Faint. I still think the rebranding of News 24 and World (and, now we learn, the most pointless name shuffle of the One , Six and Ten in the history of televised television) is superfluous at best.
I like the new music, even if it is just a revised version of the existing package. It's far better than the existing music, and I love the new regional music. I think the regional titles are too cold and clinical (could certainly do with some warmer colours).
Again, I am witholding judgement until the package goes live. All I do know is that I'm praying for the tower not to return.

N4 was the BBC Club. (As in "I'm just going to N4 for a few minutes"...) It was never a studio.
When Current Affairs moved out of Lime Grove, they occupied TC2. This was routed throughout the Spur as N4 on all the matrices.
