Seems like everyone is going to need to be on the ball for that half hour, especially ensuring that the presenters all appear in the right studios at the right time, presenting the right thing.

Presenters are one thing, it's remembering whether the packages, oovs and scripts are in the right places that's the biggest problem!

But why move News 24 out of N8 to N9 when there is nothing going on in N8 at the moment while they're in N9 - doesn't make any sense.

Seems they are having a rehearsal by leaving N8 vacated.

The whole logistics sounds complicated, and I imagine it would be very simple to mistakenly playout a BBC World ident. Out of interest, are the gallery team also moving? Just wonder how it works, does weather handback to N9 in someway at 2130?

What are studios N1-N7 then as we never hear them mentioned - do they exist out of interest?

So they get used to it. Next week they'll have a new studio as well as having to leave N6 at 9.30, so best getting used to being turfed out at 9.30 while they're still in a familiar setting.

Seems a right load of rubbish to me. The Ten should be told to take a hike!

Sorry for the cross-post:

They're in N9 so they're comfortable with being there for just half an hour.

To clarify, from Monday they'll be decamping to N9 from the new N6 for the 2130 back half to allow the Ten to rehearse. That will continue until the revamped N8 (24's home and World's new home) is open for business.

Why not just play a programme in the 9.30 slot, rather than faff about. World Business Report, or a Sports update, move the 10.30 sports update to 9.30 and present from CSO?

The Ten is a flagship bulletin, and the quality cannot be allowed to suffer through these measures which will reduce costs. Sometimes there are pieces that need rehearsing. I wouldn't want to interact with a DNA molecule that I couldn't see, live without any practise on a flagship news bulletin. This seems like a sensible plan. Utilising a studio which is available for half hour without incurring additional cost.

I think that'd be good. Either that or have a half-hour of opting in to BBC World ala the old 9.30am bulletins. Anything but more HARDtalk!

Why don't they just get the BBC World presenter to do BBC World news from 9.30 - 10?

That'd cost more. They're not contracted to do those hours.
