I have noticed that the EPG for next week (on Sky anyway) is still saying "BBC News 24" overnight on the BBC 2 listing.

Disappointing that they didn't manage to get any new music for their half a million, also very disappointed with the regional titles (as someone who watches North West Tonight).
I'm generally under-whelmed by this new look.


I still can't believe that NorthWest Tonight were allowed to go ahead with a new look 6 months ago knowing they would have to adopt the full BBC News new look. Doesn't make sense.

As does the Radio Times website.

Still can't take in the fact they are dropping such a well-known name. But everyone has said that already so I'll shut up.

The rebranding of News 24 to the BBC News Channel starts from the end of the 10 O'Clock News on Wednesday, 16th April, followed by a complete rebrand of all BBC News outlets - including regional TV - on the 21st.


So it seems like they're easing in the name.
