Well the newsroom looks a lot better than the city-scape. And I'm glad there's no more fake strips the the bottom of the screens, makes them look taller.
The light boxes look a lot better now that they won't just be huge spaces of white light.
This set is nothing special, I expected something new and fresh from them. It's very dark and black, even the desk is dark.
The current set is so much better.
Thakn God BBC World gets the better part of this whole relunch.
Anyway, I get the feeling there will be a sort of overlap period towards the end of this week, with use of 'News 24' being gradually phased out in favour of 'The BBC News Channel' a few days before the rebrand proper.
It might be confusing for people who then turn over to find News 24 instead. Rather, they might stop mentioning it for this week to phase-out the name.
According to what I've read, it will be refered to as the BBC News Channel as of this Wednesday. Don't watch BBC World myself, but this is further supported by The Eye's observation.
It would be cool if they 'moved' in time to the music.
Thinking about it though, I don't think they're going to move at all. It'll probably be like the clock overlay on News At Ten - stayed fixed while everything else appears to move around it as the camera angle changes.
Hrmm, this is all very nice, I just feel one problem, the studio and the titles are complete opposites, dark and light, and its a little bit silly. I suppose we'll have to wait until it's all on screen.

If anything it's the opposite of what we have now though (on News 24 at least) - a white set & black titles!
I'm not sure about the fact that the regional titles have 2 BBC logos, surely just the BBC News logo would be enough, there's no need for the extra BBC logo before the programme name.
