Who said it was an embargo? Who said it was midnight?
Don't know but the Sunday papers got all their stuff sent through yesterday and it is all embargoed until midnight tonight.

Agreed. All that really needed changing desperately is the regional titles, and perhaps a variation of the titles for News 24 that's different to the BBC1 bulletins - plus any modifications required to the studio to house News 24.
The website I consider to be a separate thing - to be changed as technology requires it, not because BBC News fancies a new look.
Has to be said, and with exception to the current BBC London, Reporting Scotland and any that still have orange in [
], I really like the way regional news has different themes to the nationals and from each other. It really gives out the idea of community and [like previously stated] helping old ladies cross the road. Though most of the sets
really
need work...

I wonder if when the "BBC News Channel" totally fails to increase in viewers they'll not go back to 24 but think of something "modern."
BBC News On Demand?
Totally stupid idea, not just the name but the whole rebrand is a total waste of time and money in my opinion.

I'm sorry, the red and black shell ribbon disaster had to go... Especially for the website to go web2.0 which is all about subtle contrasts, breathing room, and lots of white!

Just because you don't like the latest titles, doesn't mean that they had to go. Personally I think the current version is far far better than the awful wishy-washy cream that LN came up with in the 90s.
Beautiful...

Web 2.0 is b*ll*ocks all to do with colours and breathing room, it's to do with interactivity and users choosing their own preferences.

Reporters is a BBC World programme and it relaunched a few months ago. It is closely tied with another BBC World programme, 'This Week'. Those two programmes have had almost identical looks since c.2000. The graphic is nothing new, I'm afraid.

Watching News 24 they are showing "Reporters".
Is that a new graphic I see in the top left hand corner - never seen it before, I maybe mistaken.

Does anyone know if anything will be done (in the new look) about incorporating the clock into the BBC NEWS DOG - being the same colour - it really does look silly the way it is at the moment (when the Ticker isn't present it looks ok with the Black backing - but when the ticker is overlayed the clock just looks like a black Blob slung anywhere).

Really? I think it looks disjointed and messy... especially those who still use variation of the old 1999 'data rings' in their titles!
I like some of them, such as Look North NE&C, but grant you that they do look a bit disjointed. And who ever was put in charge of BBC London's rebrand

Don't see what people's problem is here. The clock isn't "slung anywhere", it's tidily positioned next to the DOG. Looks fine to me.

But why not have it the backing the same colour as the BBC NEWS 24 DOG? Like when it was to the left of the DOG in 16:9 zone.
