On 21st April, what will happen overnight, will News 24 revert back to old graphics or will BBC World adopt the new ones?

These changes normally happen on the start of the new TV day which is 6am.

Breakfast will be going at that time on News 24, but its possible, The World Today will launch with them at 5am. Unless BBC World don't take on the new look until they move into News 24's old studio.

Why would they? Though it'll be interesting to know if N24 comes from N8 or N9 on that night...

Oh and I think the titles would surely be launched either before or after breakfast (just using common sense though!)

Does anyone know what the 'further design changes' are to the website later this year?

I was under the impression that BBC World (or BBC World News Wink ) would adopt the new look on April the 21st too. I may be wrong but that's what it sounded like in the various articles.

I suppose its just finishing the job they started with the front page and article pages...

If it is like last time it will change with The World Today, however I presume that BBC World will be staying in N9 for the moment while N8 is revamped before moving in a few weeks/months.

You're certainly right there. In last years rebrand, The World Today was the first to air the new look, so I would expect the same to happen this time.

If they are being logical, BBC World would rebrand on the same day as News 24. I suspect this will be the case. Last year, the new look came on air at 5am with The World Today. The 4am bulletin was the last one of the 2003 look.

Oh dear... tell me they're not incorporating the new white 'theme' into all of world's news programs, such as World News Today or World News America?

That is most likely the case, but with the delay between BBC World News moving studios, it adds an unknown element, to the situation.

I don't know for certain but I'd guess that they'll leave those two programmes alone. WNT only got its own look last year and WNA only launched in the autumn. To mess with those programmes now would weaken the brand while they are trying to establish an audience, WNA especially.

World News Today has an individual theme which is already predominantly white... as for America I can't see it changing. BBC America has a lot of input into that show aswell as World and News.
