Breakfast stays where it is surely, as the BBC News channel will need N6 from 0830 while Breakfast continues with the "fluffier" items.
Ok, but will Breakfast get a new look to match the other BBC News titles. Also, when they switch to N6, will News 24 continue Breakfast with the same backing on the screens, and use the backing for weekend Breakfast?
Also, will News 24's graphics be consistent with all the other bulletins, both Local and National? So Breakfast's graphics being a variation on News 24's so we don't have the DOG and Clock missing on N24?
Well, based on that screengrab from the new titles, Breakfast actually fits in with it quite nicely. The backing colour is white and it already includes orange. Don't forget that Breakfast is more independent and generally has more of a variation on the main BBC News look; it doesn't always strictly fit in.
How does NWT look similar? It has the black and red theme with the swirling ribbons on the edge of the images, and no box with 'BBC News' plonked in it! It's not very orange, grey and white is it?
They may even have the box and then something like 'Morning Edition' after Breakfast the 'Afternoon Edition' following half one pm etc...although I doubt that in a way. It would be good to have something though to break up a basic BBC News from dawn til dusk though.
I also wonder if they will revert back to the 'One o'Clock News', 'Six o'Clock News' and now 'Ten o'Clock News' in the new titles rather than the '1', '6' and '10' with BBC News.
You're having a lot of fun in this thread aren't you Martin?
Its fun to speculate, and after recent events in my life, i'm taking my fun where I can because the alternative isn't great.

Is BBC North West Tonight confirmed to be changing? I thought it looked reasonably similar to this new look.
Also, I really do hate the boxed logo. It looks so insignificant and useless, just thrown in the corner with no purpose.
I do hope the new regional titles are similar to North West Today (breakfast opt titles), with the colours from the new titles. If that is the case, then the money wasn't a complete waste, as the music could be reused, and the idea would have been taken on board. But the end logo and dodgy reflection have to go. And yes they will change, they have to, to make all nations and regions consistent.
I wonder if a similar idea could be used for the titles of shows like World News America, Asia Business Report, etc, showing the map of the region, along with lines connecting the cities in those regions.

The swirling "ribbons" or circles are quite similar to the redesign in that there are several of them in different shades and colours on NWT, and have the same general shape to the new BBC News.

I also hope each bulletin One, Six, Ten as well as News generic, News Channel, The World Today, World News and World News America, each get different titles in the same style, just like the variations in the 1999 titles.

Is that what the globe image that has already been posted is meant to represent...lines connecting between places, such as Cairo, Berlin and Baghdad?
Will Breakfast be getting its own new look, and moving into N6 in the mornings, or will it now stay in TC17 and keep its current look.
Breakfast is remaining in TC7 along with the 6 O'Clock News.
So News 24 - sorry, the BBC News Channel - will be able to break away from both Breakfast and the 6, only being tied to the 1 and 10. Not too bad then?
Not too bad, but I would think the 1 is the bulletin where it's most likely News 24 would have to opt out - rolling news stories seem to break during the day more than the evening.
