Why should '24' be dropped from BBC News 24? There's many different branches of BBC News surely '24' links it to being a domestic service. Makes no sense to me, it's like dropping 'World' from BBC World.

Well until we know how the trimming of 24 is going to be implemented, should we be really complaining?

I'd wait until the rebranding has appeared on-air - who knows how the current BBC One / BBC News 24 / BBC World branding will be tweaked ? (*)

(*) Well most people who work in BBC News will know by now - as they may have been watching pilots and have, today, been emailed a link to the titles that will be used by the current BBC One bulletins, BBC News 24, BBC World and all the Nations and Regions.

Gateway said today that "BBC News 24" is changing to the "BBC News Channel" from the 21st April -

But you already know that.

There was picture of Huw in the main news set... still red on the desk, looked like the a newsroom still as a backdrop, not unlike the one they had a while ago.

Is there a logo for BBC News Channel, or is it just BBC News?

I really hope they're not going to call it the "BBC News Channel" Confused

Implement the Clock into the BBC News Logo with the same colour red rather than the current "sling it anywhere" look they have on screen and that is great!
