BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

The radio programme will also become a television show on BBC World News next year, from what I read.

A couple of first times this evening, since the NBH move:

* Sophie Long on the 4-8pm shift
* Ben Brown on the nationals

Another first tonight with Jullian Warricker covering Martines 8 - 12:30 Shift. Wonder why they are not using Gavin Grey (I'm Glad they're not)

They seem to be using the weekday presenters. Joanna Gosling now on the 9-1 shift.

Alastair Yates has been reading news bulletins on Smooth Radio this morning.

Why does everyone dislike Gavin Grey?

I'm not sure about everyone else but I dont like him because he is Stale, Doesnt have the same warmth as the other presenters. He sounds like someone who steps on everyone elses toes to get to the top. And I wonder why Sophie cut the 4 - 8 shift short. Gavin Grey is on at 7 I think

Could someone please explain how that has been deduced from him presenting a few shifts on BBC News?

I like him, I think he is better than a lot of the full time presenters.
I imagine a few stupidly don't like him because he was strike cover.



Yeah he just doesn't have the same charisma as Clive, Ben, Matthew, Anita and Joanna............

I think he comes over as a little one-dimensional and bland. Competent, but unremarkable.

And he broke the strike. That won't endear him to many.
