Yalda Hakim is 'back home' to Australia, currently at Sydney ready to cover the upcoming Australia election.
Is this exclusively for World or will she be reporting on this for BBC News channel and BBC One?

Her promo was for World. Not sure about the other BBC channels, but they do have their own correspondent in Australia as well, I'm not sure of the name of the guy who just recently took over from Nick Bryant. Is it Jon Donnison? Probably he will be covering as well.

Just a quick question for any regular HardTalk viewers, does Carrie Gracie still host at all? I know she did some not long before she became ill a couple of years ago, but can't recall her doing any since returning.

Not familiar with it a long time back, but in recent days, I will have to say the common ones are Stephen of course, Zeinab (not these past month or 2 though, I wonder where she is), Gavin Esler (recently active on occasional basis), Sarah Montague (quite common nowadays). There are a couple of male older presenters that occasional host Hardtalk, though I'm not familiar with them, they're probably from the News channel or other strands of the BBC.

I haven't seen a Carrie-fronted one since she returned from leave. As the above post says Gavin Esler recently stood in for a full week, and Sarah Montague seems to be a semi-regular. Others like Katya Adler and Tim Franks have also appeared in the last year or two.

While it's great that Hardtalk can use studio C if A isn't available instead of having to go to Millbank or another location, seeing it in studio C the other day made me realise a lot how strong the direction and branding is. The colour scheme and background visuals in particular transfer incredibly well to other studios - in a way the main BBC News set designs just don't. When the NC moves from E to A or C the result is always duller and flatter than if Hardtalk moves.

Yalda Hakim fed into the BBC News Channel LIVE yesterday, speaking to Maxine Mawhinney on a few occasions, including at the juncture when the Abbot victory was announced.

HardTalk: current main stand ins are Zeinab Badawi, Sarah Montague, Shaun Ley and Tim Franks. Zeinab Badawi hasn't done too many recently on account of being on holiday and also overseas filming Rendezvous.

Gavin Grey on BBC World this morning.

Quite a random appearance here. Can't remember the last time she appeared at the weekend.

Allan Little has presented a bit of HardTalk as well in recent weeks hasn't he?

Does anyone think Peter Dobbie would make a good host for Hardtalk? I do. It's such a waste to see him only doing weekends, but then again he might be happy that way, as I've speculated that some of the older talents want more personal time.

A very random appearance, but it could be because she didn't present on Thursday, on her Mon-Thursday week.
