The BBC news channel are using quite a lot of reporters for cover recently, Ian Pannell And Rajesh Merchendani were quite good imo..

He presented Global every day last week (12th to 15th inclusive). He also presented GMT on Friday 23rd August.


He also presented the 830-11 shift this week on the NC in place of Simon.

I didn't see it but according to the schedule on iPlayer, it did. It was presented solo by Sophie Long.

For some reason or another, it does usually start at 9. Also, Joanna on the News at One today. Nice change.

News Channel started at 8:30am I believe, because Breakfast unusually ran until 9:15am as normal. Normally on Bank Holiday Mondays it is like a Sunday with a 9am finish/start.

Last time I've seen him was a few years ago, when he is hosting the 2am UK time World News Today...

He looks to be fluent and seasoned presenter. And he joins the class of glass-wearing presenters like Jon Sopel.
