Yalda Hakim's exclusive report from Yemen is shown tonight on both Newsnight and BBC WN America. She was also in the studio talking to Katty Kay just now.

Clearly being in the field is where she's at her best.

It's being shown as I type on Newsnight at the moment. I wonder if she'll be in Studio b on Newsnight as well.

It's Sally Bundock doing the main news and Alice Baxter for business, a role swap on World Today! Naga has been missing in action for a few days, with Martine Dennis and Alice taking her spot last 3 days.

Naga is presenting golf coverage for BBC Breakfast this week.

Katya Adler is in for Nik Gowing this morning.

Wow. That swap happened many times!

Yup, she's back, I was just missing her a while ago as I posted she hasn't been seen for a length of time.

Odd to see Yalda Hakim on BBC World News introducing a report by, er, Yalda Hakim, and signed off by Yalda Hakim and handing back to Yalda Hakim in the studio........

That's not a bad thing.

Don't tell me they did not cut off the "Yalda Hakim, BBC News" extro...

It's really interesting watching newswatch, and then comparing how the presenters present thereafter. For example, a viewer said there was no reference to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales in the domestic news. Funnily enough, in the weather bulletin, there was a reference to these three countries, without mentioning England, within 10 seconds. A viewer also said that there was too much 'chit-chat' between newsreaders and weather presenters. Was there much conversation between the newscaster and the weather presenter? No.

It's really good to see that the BBC listens to what the viewers think, and it's a shame newswatch is taking a summer break!
