Today also airs 6-9 with the usual presenters on Saturday mornings, and you're just as likely to get John Humphrys and James Naughtie (that's closer to norc-tee than naughty) on Saturdays as you are Evan Davis and Justin Webb - there's not really a level of seniority or preference for longer-standing presenters to feature on weekdays.
So usually there are 12 shifts a week (as it's double-headed), with five presenters, meaning an average week of just under two and a half days. Most of them have additional projects as well - like Mastermind for Humphrys, or 'The Bottom Line' and 'Dragons Den' for Davis - so it's quite possible Mishal will continue to appear on network bulletins and film her touring debate/interview programme, but I doubt she'll have regular World News shifts in the long run. That said, with six presenters a week (at least one of whom is part-time) for a couple of years, it might not be as much of a commitment in the mid-term.
They also use the same pool of presenters for holidays and bank holidays, and it's quite rare to get outside voices appearing. When Justin Webb took a few weeks off after a heart procedure, for example, they just made do with four presenters.
And it's not unusual for a third presenter to be on location - on a campaign trail, at the G8 etc. I think you'll see a lot of this from James Naughtie too when he's covering the Scottish Independence referendum.
That said, Naughtie returns full time around the time that John Humphrys contract comes to an end, so jump forward to 2015 and I think you'll see Mishal is one of five presenters, not six. So in the long run, I doubt WN keeps her.
Whoever replaces her on WN will probably have to have some form of name recognition, though, or be in a position for WN to give them brand recognition. Given that the 'prime' slots now use presenters well known to domestic viewers (Sopel, Alagiah, Badawi), I wonder if you might even see someone like Kate Silverton get an afternoon slot...
Are they someone who works at the BBC, or just a viewer making an educated guess?

Somebody has actually tweeted saying that Mishal will be leaving BBC World....

Soapy himself suggested that she's leaving World News, as he speculated as to who he'd now have banter with in the handover chat between Impact and Global.

Badawi is well known to UK viewers?
Kate Silverton would be great but I prefer her presenting GMT and not Impact.

Although she doesn't venture across to domestic BBC News often, she was previously a regular presenter on Channel 4 News. She's also filled in on the Andrew Marr Show (a high profile role) and is a semi-regular on Hardtalk.
Of course any new presenter might not be presenting Impact - a new programme will follow Global, presumably with the handover, but it's nothing more than an assumption that Impact will live on in its current form.

She also presents World News Today, which is broadcast to UK viewers. She also occasionally presented on the NC.

Probably a one off due to Kate Middleton ready to pop at any moment
When did Katty Kay move to London from Washington?

So they decamped their Washington staff to London just for that when they have more than enough staff already there?

I'm fairly sure that Matt Frei used to pop over to London for a week or 2 during the Summer, he often anchored a domestic bulletin when he was back.

I remember Matt Frei's last work on the BBC before he moved to Channel 4 was when he presented Domestic bulletins... right?
