BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

As it is opinion only, would you think that a newsreaders salary would be higher if they presented on World compared to NC? What do you think is the average salary for both? I know Carrie Gracie revealed her salty, but surely the BBC couldn't afford to pay every main newsreader that much??

They would be because world is not funded by tax payers

I would think salaries at World News are higher than the News Channel. Jon Sopel moved so perhaps he's being paid more. Although, I don't think anyone at World News earns more than Huw Edwards, Fiona Bruce and Sophie Raworth.
Who would be the highest paid presenter on World News?

George Alagiah or Mishal Husain

If we rule out double jobbers like Aligyah, Hussain and Sopel and talk exclusive to World, then I'd suspect it's Nick Gowing.

What about Mike Embley? I would even place a bet on Martine Dennis, and maybe even Zainab...

I thought Mishal Hussain as well.

I don't think Mike Embley is paid that much, but I could see Zainab being paid a lot as well and maybe even Tanya Beckett. I guess its basically the people who present their own program.

More to the point, who out of AdamABC, MoHasanie, coolalfieo, flaziola and Gary McEwan gets paid the most?

Kate Silverton was presenting GMT today. How often has that happened since George disappeared?
Also, presenters like Kate Silverton and Sian Williams hardly present more than once a week but then what's the point of having them present so rarely?

I think she's presented GMT a couple of times since George's 'disappearance'. Sian Williams now has her own TV show on BBC One, so we can expect to see her a bit less + she has her BBC radio duties. In regards to Kate Silverton, it's a shame she hasn't presented the One more often because Sophie hasn't been presenting it regularly. She did, however, present two weekend bulletins on Saturday.
