Our very own Worzel had an interview with BBC News channel presenter Julian Worricker - listen to the episode here: http://cambridge105.fm/podcasts/matt-webb-13-06-2013/

Worzel and Worricker. And Webb. On the web.

I will listen in later.

And no, Sulian wasn't discussed - sadly... Wink

Jon Sopel presented the news at one. Knowing him and his very informal self, he said 'cheerio' at the end Smile

Literally. For he didn't show up later on on Global. It was a Silver Fox on Global.

Cue conspiracists in overdrive...............

And Mr Sopel is back on the News at One this afternoon...

Yup - it's her! Think you're right, this is her first time - she was on just before the move I think whilst they did rehearsals for NBH

Good to see her back. It might be like a Fiona Armstrong though...appearing then disappearing.

Not a presenter, but what does Sarah Campbell actually do these days?

She seems to pop up on terrestrial bulletins once in a blue moon!

She used to be on Breakfast as the roving reporter years ago!

What is the most flagship slot to present? I've always said the 2-5.

When most people are hard at work? Confused

I'd have thought 19:00-22:00 would be considered the most watched portion of the day. It was always when Gavin Esler presented a decade ago when he was the channel's chief presenter. News 24 was always double-headed in the evenings at weekends too.

Don't think there is a flagship time - very dependent on the news that comes in that day. News doesn't just come in between 2pm and 5pm...

Without saying, the national times 1 - 6 - 10 are major primetime, News 24 used to treat the 7pm as a prime slot with a branded program 'News 24 Tonight' but no more, presumably so as to avoid a clash with World News Today which moved from 8pm to 7pm a few years back. The 5pm is also considered by the News channel as a prime hour.
As for the rest of the time, I don't think there is any order of merit between the 8:30-11, 11-2, 2-5, 6:30-9 or the 9-World shifts.
