Does anyone know when Faisal Islam was meant to start as Economics Editor at the BBC? Kamal is still on the countdown, which is odd because he isn’t really a front-of-screen journalist now, and i have yet to see an actual report where Faisal presented it, most of them being by Simon Jack or Dharshini David (sp).

Islam is taking on the role of economics editor at the BBC, replacing Kamal Ahmed who is now editorial director at BBC News. The BBC said Islam will start his new role in the summer.

Which could be anywhere from now to the end of September.

Maybe he'll appear the same day as Reith goes live to give everyone an early birthday present on here.

Both the presenters in Salford and London seem to be struggling to speak at the moment. Almost like they're trying to stop themselves bursting into tears.

Who are the presenters?

Lukwesa Burak and Hugh Woozencroft.

They were probably upset after spending 2 hours watching what our country is about to become.
