Those of you who tape the bulletins, for one reason or another, you take a look, I'm pretty sure she's wearing different glasses in both bulletins!

I assume she's not comfortable with wearing contacts anyway, else she would have gone down that route years ago?

As someone who wears glasses, I have to say I've just got used to them over the years, and wouldn't consider getting contact lenses for that reason. There are many other reasons why someone would wear glasses instead of contact lenses.

Nicholas Owen presented a special 5-6 hour block of programming on BBC Parliament called 'Beeching Night' analysing the highlights and controversies the British rail industry has faced since the report's publication, with reports in chronological order including extracts from Newsnight and Panorama. It was an interesting watch, and great to see a BBC newsreader tackle something they're actually interested in.
