I'd really like to see Ben Thompson given some shifts as the lead news channel presenter. Think he's still got great potential.

I remember he done a Bank Holiday Monday shift a couple of years ago, surprised he hasn't been asked since. Another one think with future potential is Ben Bland. He would really suit the News at One if the opportunity arose.

I am surprised that he hasn't covered the briefing yet but other than that business presenters covering news appear to normally do so in addition rather than instead of their normal work so he probably isn't interested in doing more as he already works 5 days a week for business and regaurly appears on breakfast on Sundays (and as business live airs on Bank Holidays if he was available he would be doing that).

He often does Breakfast on a bank holiday.

Simon Pusey filled in on World News today. Apparently he hasn’t been on the air lately instead he founded a late night food delivery service. And his Twitter isn’t very active.

Who? How did he slip through my filter? I am the RosterDoctor after all, and I painstakingly put the Roster together months in advance. I don't remember adding his name to the schedules.

I've sent Mr. Amroliwala to India for a week. So you can expect him anchoring Global LIVE from Delhi all this week. David in the studio.

And occasional Sunday cover, he was on with Victoria Fritz on Sunday of last week.

When did he fill in as it was Karin Gianonne at midnight and Lewis Vaughan-Jones at 1.

He seems to be the main Sunday man. If Charlie Stayt ever decides to move on, I’d think he’d suit Thursday-Saturday perfectly.

Who would replace him on Biz Live?

Ben Bland, obviously.

I think while Business Live would miss the chemistry Ben Thompson has with Sally Bundock, it'll easily continue without him.

It was during the day side Saturday. I want to say around 1600 BST.

Following the recent issue, sadly, I don't see Ben Thompson going anywhere, in an upwards direction, anytime soon.
