Interesting that Shaun Ley will be filing in on Newswatch for the next 3 weeks. Has anyone ever presented this programme other than Samira Ahmed and Raymond Snoddy before her?

Adam Shaw has presented the programme before. There's a clip of him presenting on youtube

Ben Bland presenting on the evening shift on BBC News Channel, making it his second appearance in that role. I honestly think he's a great presenter and he should be given more shift time on presenting on the channel (like Newsroom Live or Afternoon Live), instead of mostly just doing Business-related programming for the majority of the time on the News Channel (I know he does a fair bit of BBC World News presenting, but he's presenting to that audience and not so much the NC when he doing that)

Could be an interesting night ahead for Ben as the Sunday papers are reporting a cabinet coup underway.
SuperSajuuk and JamesWorldNews gave kudos

Looks like it's Ben night as Ben Brown is on national duty. All we need is Ben Rich on the weather and Ben Thompson to tweet himself boogying the night away.

Bad luck it's Chris Fawkes on the weather. Stav did it earlier

Ben Bland often does The Briefing when Sally is away & World News Today on weekends. His role is spilt between the News Channel & World News, but he should do more daytime slots

Can anyone confirm if Jane Hill has left BBC News and/or the News Channel? Admittedly I don't manage to watch the NC during the daytime (9am - 5pm), but I haven't seen her on after 5pm or cover BBC 1 weekends at all recently either.

Don't know if this will do any help but https://champions-speakers.co.uk/business-speakers-motivational-speakers/news-presenters/jane-hill/

She has not been presenting since the New Year. However, her Twitter profile still indicates she works for BBC News and there has been several instances of newsreaders taking long breaks for their own reasons (which we don't need to know about), so I don't believe it's anything to worry about.

That's quite an old article - Jane hasn't presented the 11-2 shift on BBC News since 2012!

It wouldn't really surprise me if Jane jumped ship the way Sian Williams did. I know she regularly did the One before her absence but once George Alagiah is back properly on the Six Sophie Raworth can go back to the One and the only regular slot for Jane will be the Five on Fridays.
