The above might have been discussed before due to it being produced last year. Is it me, or do you find dual anchors better than single anchors?

The really puzzling thing about that article, which was discussed at the time, is that the article itself has almost no relevance to the title, the story mainly being about the NC no longer being required to send presenters on location for major international stories. Even for MailOnline if seems like whoever wrote the title didn't bother reading the story.

Actually, you're right - it doesn't really have much relevance. I also haven't seen much evidence of this happening. I'm sure if the BBC wanted to reduce the number of anchors, they would've probably just axed them anyway. Furthermore, there was no mention of this in their recent DQF initiative.

Mike Embley is not on overnight schedule for the first time in a while... and he presented GMT!

EDIT: And James Coomarasamy is presenting the 1200GMT BBCWN Bulletin.

Very refreshing to see Fiona Armstrong on BBC One news. Not as robotic as others and she smiles a lot more which is nice.

not sure if there will be a BBC news at 5? Nicholas Owen might say on for another hour?

The TV guide says there will be a news at five, but, like the last bank holiday, it will probably be in the main studio, so there will be no studio change.

Why has Jon Sopel left the News Channel?

I would presume because of his commitments to Global on BBC World, he might pop up the NC once in a blue moon....
