I know this is a departure, but does anyone know why BBC Radio 2 is apparently off air for an hour from 9pm-10pm on Monday 7th January 2019? - Was just checking the schedules and came across it. Why?

It isn't, is it? On my PC, it is showing Mark Goodier for 3 hours from 6:30 and Ken Bruce after that.

Same here. (Edit: JKD was talking about 9pm not 9am though) Though a bit odd to say Angela Scanlon and OJ Borg are sitting in for Simon Mayo and Jo Whiley, when Simon has actually left Radio 2 !

2100-2200 timeslot is definitely missing, perhaps there's a programme change waiting to go in or a programme still being in production?

Surely the BBC aren't that desperate for newsreaders that they have to rely on Tina Daheley? There are far, far better presenters in the news talent pool - even in the regions. Wish they'd also get rid of dreary Reeta Chakrabarti who does not change her tone and style when reading the news. Babita Sharma should be seen more - she'd be good on Breakfast as she seems to have a personality.
