That's SCAR's Christmas caption. (It's got a stripe of colour bars along the bottom)

SCAR?

Spur Central Apparatus Room. Technically it's called MCR2 now, SCAR is a TVC term but it's stuck

The was also OSCAR that was the Wimbledon event rig ( the OS standing for On Site) I heard one story that as a joke an OB company invented the term TOSAR for a rig, it was taken seriously so they quickly had to make up what it stood for !

Matthew Amroliwala presenting some generic bulletins on BBC World News over the Christmas period. Reminds me of his days on the news channel.

Wonder if Carrie is back tomorrow as her six month unpaid leave is up, surely it would make sense for a senior presenter to share the xmas / new year rota if they been on sabbatical for six months.

Unfortunately not. I wonder why they continue to bring a separate presenter in when they use someone so unsuited in terms of tone of voice and delivery style. Annita could have done a much better job of the bulletin.
Edit: as could Babita who is supposedly on World this afternoon.
