So what? Even airline pilots and cabin crew need just 12 hours rest between duties. (Used to be 11 until around two years ago)

Surprised Victoria Derbyshire and BBC Newsroom Live had their regular presenters on duty in mid-August.

Don't most senior/regular presenters usually do at least a few days in the Summer holidays, just as most usually do a day or so over the Christmas/New Year period?

To be fair Victoria was back today after having 3 weeks holiday, the same as most other regulars on BBC News who always have 2/3 weeks off in the summer. They don't usually take the whole summer off the same way Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid do.

No, they just have a normal length holiday which doesn’t last 6 weeks

It seems like Clive Myrie is going to present tonight's evening shift given the fact he has just presented BBC News at Five. There's a probability like he's likely to present tonight's News at Ten as well. Is the BBC really that in short of presenters during the summer?

Fiona Bruce will be presenting tonight's Ten.

From what I've observed, if the News at Five presenter is not Huw or Jane, then the cover presenter for the News at Five will usually be the evening shift presenter. I would say it's 90% consistent, there are a few times where the News at Five presenter does not cover the evening shift.

Or maybe not as it's Sophie Raworth on The Ten this evening.
