Riz Lateef currently presenting the VD show. Seems to be a few interesting presenter choices this summer as Reeta Chakrabarti did it on Friday.

Would be nice to see some males hosting from time to time. Both Julian Worricker and Norman Smith have, but a long time ago.

Aaron Heslehurst!

Ahhh now wouldn't that be simply superb! Yes please!

Carole Walker presenting Afternoon Live today for the first time.

Kind of ironic that she seems to be presenting more now she's 'left' the BBC than she ever did when employed by them...

Carole's also been doing some shifts on BBC Look East.

Indeed always tends to be the late bulletin. Never alongside stalwart Stewart.

I agree! Same with Nicholas Owen, you’d think he’d have retired by now, but he’s still doing presenting shifts!

Whenever i see Carole, Nick or any other older presenter that supposedly left, or even just random people who’ve never presented on the news channel before, i always attribute it to a large short staffing of presenters (even outside this time of year, there’s been a lot more randoms presenting, which is always good for experience and preparing for future retirees)

Nicholas Owen is one of the best news presenters on TV today, who I always enjoy watching. A perfect balance of personality, presence and authority, who gives the delivery of every story exactly what it needs to convey it perfectly. He should be a template for other news presenters to learn from.

As an aside, he’s also a transport enthusiast, and if you go on the London Tram Network, his is the voice you hear announcing the stops.
bkman1990 and SuperSajuuk gave kudos

(yes, it's radio, but..)

Eddie Mair's final edition of PM will be this Friday.

My guess is that at the very end just before the weather the weather forecaster will mention it.

With Eddie Mair having left mid week, PM this evening was presented by Paddy O'Connel. Makes me think it's Sunday.
In the coming weeks it seems they could be some two persons shows - maybe the BBC are considering returning PM to doubled Headed programe.
