Must be the first time the host of the Ten (although only the Sunday Ten) is in a few days time hosting Radio 1 Newsbeat.

It’s amazing when you consider she started out just doing the sport with Moyles.

The "just sport" thing was a strange one really, she had previously done news on 1xtra.

Sharanjit Leyl is presenting from London again, probably due to various things (Trump in UK, staff on summer breaks etc). She presented on yesterday’s Newsday as well, not sure how long she’ll be over for.

No - she's presented on a few weekend evenings over the last few months.

Samantha Simmonds presenting the evening shift today on the News Channel. This would be her second time presenting for the domestic audience, as most of her presenting for the BBC appears to have been for World News broadcasts.

Often appears on the briefing, business live and world news today so hardly an unknown face to the UK audience (even those who have never watched sky).
