Kate Silverton's last BBC One appearance was in January, so I have no idea. Isn't she supposed to be a freelancer though, meaning she's only used as and when needed? Jane seems to have taken on the One full time whilst Sophie covers George's absence on the Six, with Ben and Reeta covering her days off, so perhaps they've decided Kate isn't needed as much.
Is Kate Silverton still with the BBC? Or is Jane now the Friday One presenter?
Kate Silverton's last BBC One appearance was in January, so I have no idea. Isn't she supposed to be a freelancer though, meaning she's only used as and when needed? Jane seems to have taken on the One full time whilst Sophie covers George's absence on the Six, with Ben and Reeta covering her days off, so perhaps they've decided Kate isn't needed as much.

As far as I was aware, Kate only did weekend news bulletin shifts (those that are broadcast on BBC One), which usually were the Saturday afternoon/evening broadcasts (5.30pm/10pm), but those are covered by Clive, Reeta and others nowadays.

Kate had been a regular fixture on Saturday, as well as the odd weekday bulletin. However with her freelance status, it may be that she is working less due to there being fewer shifts available for staffers (with Jane losing her regular afternoon slot and Carrie re-joining the ranks).

Jon Kay with Naga Munchetty (Jon not normally a main presenter on a weekday), followed by Susannah Streeter and Maryam Moshiri (Maryam appears to have just started presenting Biz Live quite regularly this week, first time I have seen her with Susannah) and Matthew Price, who has covered for VD before but not regularly. Strange start to the programme this morning as well, with the camera starting on an empty set then panning round to Matthew.

Matthew has been a Relief Presenter on the News Channel (including VD) since around the time Joanna Gosling took a lengthy hiatus late last year, though he was more Relief on the NC output than on VD (usually other female presenters like Gosling, Tina Daheley and Chloe Tilley would fill in for VD). I do believe he's presented on VD once before in the past though.
