Looks like Ben Bland has done both the morning and evening World news shifts today.

Not particularly unusual (in fact the papers often has 5/6 (or even 7 on at least one occasion) different presenters each week at the minute).

Indeed, Clive Myrie hardly ever seems to appear on the evening shift anymore. They should give the shift to Ben Brown or Carrie Gracie and give evenings some consistency rather than using random fill ins all the time. Then again, a shift that lasts for five hours despite only being on air for 1.45 hours can't be very appealing.

Isn’t the evening shift meant to be re-branded soon anyway? I.e the 8-9 part of it? My best guess would be that the 6 presenter will also then present until 7 as well.

Sally has been off ill since before Xmas. John, Katherine Downes and less frequently Sonali Shah and Holly Hamilton have been the main cover.

Indeed. Rebecca Jones tonight. No Papers though. A Brexit debate instead.

The Papers was broadcast as usual at 22:45, with the brexit debate replacing the Newsnight repeat from 23:30.

And it's the same this evening as well as a tv version of Brexitcast is going out at 11:30 this evening on the News Channel.
