Who would everyone say is the most senior presenter on the domestic BBC News Channel? This is excluding Sian Williams, Sophie Raworth, Kate Silverton, George Alagiah, Huw Edwards, and Fiona Bruce.
Jane Hill?
I would agree with you. It's either her of Matthew Amroliwala.
Agreed Matthew and Jane seem to be the senior presenters now. Both are sent on location for the big events like Thatcher's funeral, Opening of Parliament etc like Jon Sopel used to. Simon and Carrie would be pretty senior too imo

Other than Matthew and Jane, who has been there since News 24's launch? Was Chris Eakin?

Chris Eakin was yes, Maxine Mawhinney has been there since launch too. There's also Gavin Esler and Huw Edwards who presented the channel at launch but spent a few years away from it.

Did Huw Edwards present News 24? I thought he was political editor prior to taking over the 6 o'clock News in 1999?

Huw was News 24's first Chief Political Correspondent in 1997, but I don't think was ever been a regular presenter until they started the Five.
And in terms of main presenters, Jane and Matthew probably appear on the most 'flagship' shift, and Huw deserves a mention as presenter of the News at Five, even if he's excluded as presenter of the News at Ten. Simon, Carrie, Ben, Joanna and (to a slightly lesser extent) Emily Maitlis can't be far behind, though, and I always got the impression Jane and Matthew were pretty darn senior even while Jon and Louise were there.
She must be presenting when I'm at work because I never see Nik Gowing presenting anymore either.
Doesn't BBC World News have too many presenters now?
Hmm, I wouldn't know how much counts as many. But I think they have quite a number of presenters that aren't doing full regular shifts where they used to in the past, now it's more towards weekends. And then they seem to have an arrangement where presenters alternate between weeks. (eg. 1 week Presenter A, 1 Week Presenter B). And then there are times when the regular news presenters go missing for weeks, probably on holiday, or on field reports.

Isn't Tim Wilcox sent to do those things as well?
He is sent to do things, but he's a relief presenter, and doesn't have a slot assigned to him. He is probably the most senior relief presenter, probably along with Sophie Long as she also provides a lot of cover.
The beautiful Alice Baxter is back for BBCWN bulletin on a Sunday. There's so much energy in her presentation, is quite a contrast to some of the more solemn newscasters.

Tim hasn't really been on a lot since the move , so i would have to disagree.
