Anyone know what Katty Kay has been doing? During the 100 Days (+) she rarely anchored World News America.

She seemed to be off most of the summer and appears to be back on air at MSNBC (several times in the past two weeks) but not on the BBC.

Does anyone know if she's now focusing primarily on Beyond 100 Days? I'm asking because I like her presenting skills, her analytical style and opinions (that appear on MSNBC).

Also Ben Bland presented World News America tonight. It's nice that they give the US presenters the long Labor Day weekend off. Labor Day is the first Monday in September honoring working people in the US and Canada. It is also dubbed the unofficial end of summer as most kids go back to school the Tuesday afterwards.

Sophie Raworth on the News Channel only - is this is first?
She's there because the One O'Clock News during the week is now, effectively, the One O'Clock news hour (even though it's not promoted as such) with the last part on the News Channel. It's been this way since about late July, when the afternoon shift became single-headed.

She is, of course, a perfectly able presenter quite capable of presenting parts only on the News Channel. (I'd better say that I mean this though - I am in trouble as people can think you mean the opposite of what you say and are being sarcastic. So, I really do mean it. Now I really am in trouble as people won't believe me when I say I do! But I do, regardless of whether you believe me or not.) But anyway, I diverted from my original question, which was whether it is the first time she's presented something live that is going out only on the News Channel?

She has done the News Channel before, she done the afternoon shift around a decade ago with Jon Sopel a few times I believe.

Maybe they should go about some cross promotion at the end of the BBC News at One bulletin, as demonstrated here on the ITV News channel? (:45 seconds in).

Next stop, the weekend teatime and evening bulletins.

They used to cross-promote News 24 at the end of the weekend bulletins back in the early 2000s ISTR. Not sure why they stopped doing that?

Your humour is well-suited to local radio.

But she's a human being, not an item of furniture.

Nice, is that really the best you could do? Just citing Harriet Harman! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/7193016/Harriet-Harman-backing-move-to-ban-the-term-chairman-for-being-sexist.html

Because of course, dragging out 7 year old news articles in an attempt to make your odd views on equality more funny is loads better Smile
