I'm assuming both Victoria and Joanna are both off as Chloe Tilley covered the Derbyshire programme on Friday and today.

Why are these self titled shows still scheduled when the host has summer and other holidays off?

There's no issue with them in the US where they run all year round. The Derbyshire show has the stand-in's name on the plasma's anyway.

Yes - and Kenneth Williams was also memorable as a stand-in for Sir Terry.

Joanna Lumley did a stint as stand-in too.

Because the name of the show doesn't just describe the host, it describes the format.

Replace it with something named genericly of the summer and viewers might think it's a new show.

......and Bruce Forsyth. But after trying out many stand-ins, Lawley became the regular one. For a variety of reasons, including being able to read the auto cue, ad lib, work an earpiece and take direction, and genuinely skilled at interviewing.
