Fingers crossed he is superb! Always enjoyed his jovial closing lines on the ITV Lunchtime News.

I agree, going by the recent changes and the election, I would seem he may be around until the June?

You can never tell where he can pop up, I have seen him at all times of the day including this gem from last year: weekday

Do we think someone will come in specially to do 10pm-12am on the News Channel tonight?

I suspect whoever was scheduled to do the evening shift will be on hand from 7pm anyway in case of breaking news.

Would this be breaking news not linked to France? I imagine they will need a presenter to do a news summary as well. Do we know who's in charge of the simulcast tonight?

Well I thought he had stop but no, Nicolas Owen has come back to do a shift today. I wonder if he will be on most Sunday Afternoons for the time being?

Following the departures of Gavin Esler and Maxine Mawhinney, it seems as though for the time being at least weekend mornings will be Shaun Ley, with the afternoons being a mixture of different faces, including Nicholas Owen.

No complaints from me regarding Shaun Ley I like his style and overall presentation.

I agree he's very polished and enthusiastic.

Shaun Ley by far one of my favourites to watch. Reminds me a little of Alistair Yates.

The weather presenters on the News Channel seem to be wearing those horribly clippy-sounding microphones that hang off your ear. It's very harsh. Is that new?
