I'm guessing they will have to do The Papers at 11:30 since there won't be enough time do it before 11:00 (and there by cancelling the Newsnight repeat for the second night running.)

But what about all those young people yearning for the Newsnight repeat?!

If young people use Iplayer enough for BBC3 to be closed I'm sure we can find Newsnight on there...

Is tonight's BBC London News bulletin (at 17:50) the first time it's been presented by BBC London 94.9's Jim Wheble? I don't recall seeing him before.

Thought I'd mention that Katty Kay is appearing on Meet The Press today.

First time presenting, but has been reporting for the tv bulletin. (Incidentally, the radio station is now called BBC Radio London)

They've been letting more reporters have a go in the chair of-late. A particular favourite of mine is Alice Salfield, who's getting a run-out in the mornings quite a bit these days. Once upon a time, we presented a university radio show together! All of us on the Broadcast Journalism course knew she'd be the big star and she's proving us right. Give it a year or two and it wouldn't surprise me to see her being given a run-out on the News Channel... unless somewhere else snaps her up, of course! Wink

And the late BBC London with Ben Bland, the first time presenting the programme according to his Twitter.
