Remember, 5:30 am is still World News so it's evening, late afternoon in Asia Pacific.

I actually set my alarm some Friday mornings 30minutes early just to catch Aaron! A breath of fresh air at that time of the morning. You could say he brings the stories to life...quite literally! Wink

Funny thing is, if you go on YouTube and watch back clips of him from around 2006, his style seems far more sedate. Still charismatic, but rather different to now.

I'll confess that I prefer the Friday morning edition of Biz Live when Aaron is presenting. Embarassed

I remember Aaron's first appearances on BBC World back in around 2002 and he was nothing like he is now. I haven't seen him for ages until this week and I couldn't stand watching him anymore. Aaron x Alice Baxter this morning was just too much for me to cope with over my morning cuppa with my eyes half open. Trying to emulate Richard Quest is a big turn-off for me - whenever I stumble upon Quest Means Business on CNN, I immediately reach for the remote.

I could've written this myself.

Every news channel needs its own Quest or Aaron, just to shake things up a bit, especially UK news channels which can be very dry at times.

People often accuse Aaron (on Twitter) of copying Quest and there was one occasion when both men addressed this. Basically Quest defended him and said they both started at around the same time on BBC and there's no any copying involved.

Lukwesa Burak is covering again today and she'll be covering the BBC One bulletin at lunchtime too.

It does always strike me as odd that among all the budget cuts they've never thought to have the NC presenter do the evening and late bulletins on weekends - especially considering it's not a problem at lunchtime.

Lukwesa will also be presenting tomorrow evening too.

Carole Walker doing the BBC 1 simulcast.

It's Carole Walker.

They've brought in Carole Walker for the lunchtime bulletin instead. How odd....

EDIT: Presumably because she covered Dateline London and there's not a great deal of changeover time. It wouldn't surprise me if she's on the afternoon shift too.
