I note this afternoon on WN that there was an interesting change in the presenters. Lucy Hockings presented the first half hour of Impact and Mathew Amriolovala took over the rest and then did Global.

Seems like a growing pattern to have mixed presenters on the same branded show recently.
Regarding the topic on the lack of more experienced presenters on BBCWN, I would think James Coomerasamy is pretty good and a pleasant presentation style. I'd like to see more of him on World, but I understand he is a regular on one of the radio channels.

They've done this before, when the Impact presenter had suddenly become unavailable. Lucy continued her GMT slot for an extra half hour, covering also the first edition of Impact, and Mathew came on early to do the rest of Impact, then continue with his regular Global slot.
Philippa Thomas (who would normally stand-in on Impact) tweeted yesterday that she was shadowing Ros Atkins for the day in preparation for her presenting Outside Source later in the month for a couple of days.
