BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

I don't think it's necessarily creepy but rather answering a question and noticing a trend. She's just been doing Business Live on days when Ben's normally scheduled. But I think she now seems to be the fill in presenter for Sally, who normally is off on Fridays.

I'm still relatively new here some I'm still learning what' the appropriate etiquette is for this board.

I will admit that I jokingly tweeted a while back to Sally and Ben that it seemed like they coordinated their outfits. But they got the joke and replied #tricksofthetrade.

I've yet to see Alice Baxter pair up with Sally on Business Live since it started. I just had a look at her Twitter and saw her recent tweets are more about guests on '@BBCNews'. Anyone can confirm if she's moved on to NC nowadays?

She's been covering for Victoria Fritz recently on the afternoon biz bulletins on the NC.

Alice Baxter and Aaron Heslehurst presented Business Live on Friday. If I'm not mistaken, Alice's first.

Alice is now permanently slotted on the mid shift on a Friday, hitherto presented by Aaron.

Interesting line-up on Outside Source this evening. Christian Fraser is in Brussels. Karin Giannone is in London. And Ros Atkins appears to have been replaced in Athens by Tim.

Alice covered for Victoria Fritz on Friday who covered for Ben on BBC Breakfast.

Does anyone know if Simon McCoy has a regular shift now the election is over and Chris Eakin left?

Simon's shift now seems to be weekdays 2pm to 5pm.


Also its nice to see that there was a piece on tonight's Ten of Chris Rogers in Afghanistan, this seems to be a section taken from this weekends episode of Our World. Also expected to have another clip from Chris to be on tomorrows Ten as well.

They do this regularly to give you a taster of what's to come. Last week about this time, they broadcast a report from Celia Hatton (think it's how her name is spelt) about legal highs in China, which was the Our World at the weekend.

True, I thought Ben Brown did that shift too, unless they alternate like on The World Today slot.

Whilst the Singapore bureau undergoes a facelift, Mariko Oi is the first Singapore presenter to turn up in London, on-air now with BBC World News from NBH.
