so no more Mishal Hussein doing the main weekend bulletins?

We will find out at the weekend although this could be step one or the plans have changed as I also remember the News Channel presenter was also meant to do the 8pm news summary, which hasn't happened so I imagine things have been revised (which is normal).

And here's the flaw with this idea anyway-Sunday's late bulletin is treated like a normal News at Ten 99% of the time anyway (with the Ten titles being used) so i think that idea and the 8PM plan have both been scrapped

Does anyone know if Babita Sharma is the new permanent presenter of Impact? I noticed that her name appeared on the title card yesterday (I.e Impact with Babita Sharma). Usually, the name label is only reserved for the permanent presenter (hitherto Yalda Hakim). When the main presenter is away, the title card usually only reads "Impact".

It could be that they are titling main relief presenters (as she is now presumably), although to be fair she's possibly done slightly more Impact than Yalda Hakim in the past month or two.

It's been a long time since I've seen Jane Hill present the News at 5. Enjoyable!

Today's titles did not have Babita's name on.

Ben Thompson rejoins BBC Breakfast on Fridays, starting from tomorrow. Victoria Fritz will do Business Live, along with Aaron Heslehurst.

Since Lucy Hockings presents GMT instead of George Alagiah, then i think they should change the title card to add her name.

It's odd. For example, Stephen Sackur is the permanent presenter of GMT on a Friday, and his name appears on the title card.

Philippa Thomas is the permanent presenter of World News Today on a Wednesday and Thursday, plus she's the permanent presenter of Impact on a Friday. However, Philippa's name doesn't appear on the title card of either programme.

This is despite taking over from Zeinab Badawi and Lucy Hockings (respectively) many months ago.

Victoria Fritz and Aaron Heslehurst presenting BizLive today. First change of presenters for UK viewers. Very err "dynamic" feel. Not sure will go down well with some.
