^ Last few weekends.

Temporary for the last few weeks of presenter shortage and big stories coverage. Philippa is the Wed to Fri presenter of WNT. Karin Giannone is Mon and Tues.

Philippa occasionally covers Impact or GMT on a Friday, meaning Kasia Madera does the WNT slot.

I'm just waiting for them to ask me to be a regular weekend presenter. I reckon I could do it.

Does Alice Baxter still present a mix of regular bulletins and business news as regularly as before? I think I've been seeing plenty of Ben & Sally or Ben & Aaron during the mornings since Business Live started. Also since Adnan takes over as alternate on TWT, she's not been seen here lately either.

I've seen Alice sporadically on World News. She doesn't seem to have a regular shift any more. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seemed like she did the 5-8 AM BST shift on Thursdays and Fridays before Business Live started. Sure you know by now Sally covers the shift Monday - Thursday with Aaron on Fridays.

Relatively new here but what's TWT? Adnan has been pretty regular Tuesdays through Thursdays from 5-8AM BST

Before the BBC News rebrand in 2008, the programme from 5-8AM BST was called 'The World Today' (TWT). People just still use the name on this site because most know what it is.

Just to give a bit more historical context for you....

The World Today existed as a strand of programmes during the mid to late 1990s on BBC World. It was axed in c.1999 and when BBC World had a major relaunch in April 2000 all news programming was branded as BBC News. Shortly afterwards in September 2001, The World Today as a brand was brought back as the centrepiece of the new "European Breakfast" strand, broadcast between 5.00 and 8.00 am. The 5.00 am hour was branded TWT and also included an edition of World Business Report at 5.30 am. This hour was broadcast on both BBC World and BBC News 24 (and due to the overnight simulcast, also on BBC One). The launch presenters were Martine Dennis and Lindsey Brancher for news and Tanya Beckett for business. The 6.00 and 7.00 am programmes were only shown on BBC World and were branded as "BBC News from BBC World". The only difference to the 5.00 am hour was that WBR was shorter and made room for an edition of Sport Today at 6.45 and 7.45 am.

There were three editions of TWT when I worked in World Pres in the late 90s. I think they were at 1100gmt (90 minutes), 1430gmt (hour) and 1700gmt (hour). The 0500gmt programme was originally called Newsday I think and there was Newshour too. Many of these names had heritage in The World Service. To this day, the 0500 programme hour produced by World is still known by some staffers as "Twit" even though the name's long since been dropped.

I'm sure 'The World At One' is nicknamed 'TWATO'

There was a 'Newshour' at the start of BBC World:

I've only ever heard it referred to as WATO without the T. (Pronounced Wot-Oh)

TWT as Twit I definitely remember.

Newshour presented by Tim Sebastian, if I'm not mistaken. When he was away, Philip Hayton, Mark Longhurst and Melinda Wittstock were the other presenters.

Remarkably, Peter Dobbie is the only current presenter at World who was a regular presenter back in that particular rendition of the flag era. (Mike Embley as well, but he was a stand-in presenter).

I see that Matthew Price (previously a foreign correspondent) is now presenting on the News Channel - must be the first time I've seen him presenting a bulletin since his Newsround days quite a few years ago.
