Ben's back with Breakfast at end of June - so presumably staying on the Business Live Monday to Friday until after it launches on the BBC News Channel.
@laburridge Haha. Thanks! Back with Breakfast from the end of June. Just getting our new show up and running!

With Ben presumably leaving Business Live in June, will it be the duty NC biz presenter taking over?

New name for me, Lebo Diseko from Focus on Africa presenting Newsday from the London end. First time for Lebo or has she presented it before?

She has been presenting it fairly frequently since the start of the year.

Rebecca Jones has been presenting some of the evening slots on the news channel recently in place of Clive Myrie and Gavin Esler - it's great to have such good relief presenters on the channel, for example she is very engaging with the reviewers on The Papers.
Once thing I've noticed is the standing shots do make her look very short and they tend to adjust the shot mid-link, the same used to be the case I think for Matthew Amroliwala (and the opposite with Ben Thompson!) I seem to recall there are some X marks on the flooring so that shorter presenters are stood further away from the screens to avoid the height problem.

Doesn't feel like she's been away that long. Ellie is a great presenter and a welcome addition to the BBC News team, though I don't believe she has the strength to front a main bulletin imo, which is unfortunate. I remember when she started out on Newsround all those years ago, one of many names from the show to go onto advanced projects - Julie Etchingham and Krishnan Guru-Murphy who were THE journalists of 90s CBBC
... not to forget the legendary John Craven, though I believe has lost his journalistic background now.
Ellie Crisell is to return from maternity leave this week on the 90 second update.
Great covering from Sophie Long, Sam Naz and Riz Lateef! Including the occasional Jamie Robertson and Martine Croxall.

In what way could he possibly lose a journalistic background? He isn't Doctor Who.

Well this is a surprise for me as i thought Auntie Beeb had finally seen sense and given the Squeaky Mouse Lady the boot.
She is a Children's TV presenter who, upon leaving Newsround, continued to present bulletins and the 8pm as if she were still presenting to children. With exception of Matthew Price, every single Newsround presenter who has joined since 1998 has been not only terrible, but achieved no "news" credibility in their following careers. Presenting Sport or entertainment fluff. Why Crisell ended up in her current job i will never understand.

Agreed, Countryfile is still journalism.

It might not be Newsnight, but post-1998 Newsround presenter Becky Jago is now one of the main presenters at ITV News Anglia, which I'm not sure counts as sport or entertainment fluff.
EDIT: Also taking a quick look at Wiki, Adam Fleming is now a BBC News Political Correspondent and Daily Politics Reporter, Rachel Horne went on to be a Working Lunch reporter and presenter of the Business Updates on the NC, and Sonali Shah, according to a quick Google, is now part of the Today Programme on Radio 4, having previously been a part of the 2012 Olympic coverage and having presented business updates on the NC and weekend bulletins on BBC World News. None of them have made it as far as Etchingham and co. have, but I wouldn't say they've achieved 'no 'news' credibility'.
