Branwen Jeffreys has started as Education Editor today, and Justin Rowlatt is the new South Asia Correspondent.

Both featured on Today.

Philippa Thomas presented Impact today on BBC World. A first, I think.

Looks like Victoria Fritz has moved from biz to general news as she's now captioned as a News Correspondent. That'd explain why Caroline Hepker is now the number 2 on the biz bulletins after Ben.

I think this has been her post for nearly a month now.

I recall her presenting on and off during the transition period, after Mishal Husain exited the show.

BBC News' Nick Robinson to step down for a while for personal reasons.

HOWEVER, BAD TIMING WITH THE ELECTION COMING UP. If he's not back until the final weeks of the campaign, and Andrew Mair not able to take over temporarily, just who will cover?

Of course I wish him good luck with his treatment and a quick recovery.

On the question of who may cover - I would say Laura Kuenssburg and Robert Peston are quite likely.

Isn't James Landale the Deputy Political Editor? That would imply deputising in Nick's absence.
