BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

I suppose it depends on what else they could be doing. It's a rubbish filler story on a quiet weekend but they're all on shift anyway so sending them doen the road means theyre actually doing something.


Its the same when regional news a sat truck out to a minor story or to do the weather... its better than having the crew sitting in the newsroom playing cards!

Is there any news on how George Alagiah's is? Understandably he hasn't tweeted in a few months.

I am certain if there was any news that he or the BBC wanted the public to know, it would have been published. Since it hasn't it's probably best to respect his privacy and wish him the best for a quick recovery.

Kudos for Ross Hawkins and Simon McCoy, the former dealing with noises off, then in vision reporting from Kings Cross, and the latter for not over reacting with apologies, on the simulcast late National tonight.

It was very well handled indeed. I would have loved to have been a fly on the camera to see what words were said afterwards...
