I suppose it depends on what else they could be doing. It's a rubbish filler story on a quiet weekend but they're all on shift anyway so sending them doen the road means theyre actually doing something.


Its the same when regional news a sat truck out to a minor story or to do the weather... its better than having the crew sitting in the newsroom playing cards!

I am certain if there was any news that he or the BBC wanted the public to know, it would have been published. Since it hasn't it's probably best to respect his privacy and wish him the best for a quick recovery.

I was only asking a polite question. It wasn't as if I was going into someone's personal life like some on here do.

Something may have been made public that I and others hadn't seen... that was all.
