I agree. It was good to send Mishal out there because she really understands what's going on well.

Its not strategic thinking, it's just common sense. If there's a big story in Pakistan, get one of your best journalists to cover it. Rolling Eyes

He was being sarcastic AND your post made no sense. Any decent human being would understand what was going on well...!!! Now I can legitimately use the roll eyes emoticon. Rolling Eyes

Exactly.

You do know, there is such a thing as talking (or posting in this context) for the sake of it.

Let's try to talk about Presenters and Rotas and not billy something posts. I'm sure there's a separate thread for that. Laughing

There is a story today about 'Panic Saturday'. They've seemed to have sent out 3 reporters in the past hour. Sarah Campbell was on the midday news bulletin on Oxford Street. Once returning to the NC, Joe Lynam was then speaking to consumers also on Oxford Street. And now in the last few minutes Daniel Boettcher has been speaking to people too which also looks like to be on Oxford Street. I just think it is strange for the BBC to send out 3 reporters to literally report outside the front entrance of NBH

Seems like a dressed up rota post to me...

It isn't meant to be! I'm just sharing an opinion and explaining for those who are not watching about why the BBC has had to send out cameramen and 3 reporters just to talk about money being spent on a Christmas weekend.

You know, it's not often I side with you, but on this one, I will.

If you were in any other news organisation and suggested assigning three different reporters to a story that isn't of geopolitical import and is mere yards from your newsroom, you'd quite rightly be laughed out of the meeting!
