Who is presenting the 5am TWT slot with Sally Bundock this morning? I've never seen her present before.

Nuala McGovern - best known for presenting Newsday of the BBC World Service.

Nuala is so used to presenting on radio, she always says "thanks for listening" when signing off from a World News TV bulletin. And then corrects herself.

On Sunday on World tv, she said "thanks for watching the BBC World Service".

Love it!

Caroline has also been reporting for BBC London News recently.

Matthew Amroliwala was on the News at One today - so it looks like he's not disappearing from UK news presenting for good. Jon Sopel also appeared on the News at One occasionally when he was presenter of Global.

Does Jamie Robertson present general news bulletins or is it just Business Edition (w. Tanya Beckett) on which he might be presenting hence his appearance on the BBC One Minute news?

Like Tanya (or whomever is on Friday duty), Jamie also presents the 20G standard news bulletin on a Friday, as well as the Business Edition thereafter at 21G. Jamie also used to present the double-headed bulletin with Mike Embley up until the move to NBH, on days when Tanya was off (the regular presenters were Mike Embley and Tanya Beckett).

In fact, all of the BBC World Business Presenters can be found reading regular news bulletins, with the sole exception of Aaron Heslehurst. He never does so.

Sally Bundock, Tanya Beckett, Maryam Moshiri, Jamie Robertson and Alice Baxter all frequently anchor the news as well.

Does anyone know about Rebecca Jones' career in the BBC? Like when did she start presenting news or has she reported any significant stories? I havent watched N24 for a long time, but this morning when I tuned in it seems that she and Simon McCoy get along quite well.

Emily Maitlis is back on the BBC News Channel for the first time in around a year.

Its interesting how Newsnight shares presenters with NC. Emily Maitlis and Gavin Esler are on the NC more often than not but you'd never see Kirsty Wark or Evan Davis on the NC, nor Jeremy Paxman for that matter.

For a start Gavin Esler hasn't been a Newsnight presenter for almost a year now.

Like you I'd also be surprised if Jeremy Paxman was on BBC News but then I'd also be surprised if he was on Newsnight either. The presumable reason that Emily Maitlis appears on both is that she (like Gavin Esler wasn't) isn't one of the main presenters of Newsnight in that she appears on it infrequently or at least not as much as Wark/Davis/Kuenssberg are.
